Starting with brass billets, the handles are forged, milled, polished, buffed, chrome-plated and hallmarked with a laser. Olivari has attained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Though it uses the most advanced technology, Olivari preserves all the artisanal wisdom it has accumulated in 110 years of history.
A distinctive feature at Olivari is the fact that the entire manufacturing process takes place exclusively at the Olivari factory in Borgomanero, northwest of Milan. Olivari products are not just Made in Italy, they are Made in Borgomanero, Made in Olivari.
Every company originates from a dream and the founder’s dream of Mandelli (Maniglie) had the color of gold: brass. It was 1953. Over sixty years of history are a heritage of precious craftsmanship, to which are added dedication, manual skill and industrial technology.
In recent years, a new project Atelier Mandelli is born with a focus on design and experimental work. Materials like concrete, marble, leather and mother pearl are added to the brass, resulting in extraordinary decorative hardware solutions.
